The new trend HIIT: High Intensity Interval Training

4 Ratings

A training method that wants to establish itself in today's world must be one thing above all: effective in a short time. This is exactly what the new trend training HIIT (high-intensity interval training) offers, which achieves very good results through short training intervals with high intensity already with a 30-minute training 2-3 times per week.

Scientific tests have shown that interval training is more effective at burning fat and building muscle than conventional endurance training. In an Australian study, subjects who used the new interval training method lost significantly more abdominal fat in 15 weeks and were able to lower their BMI more than the control group who trained with normal endurance training. Overall, high-intensity interval training stimulates the metabolism more and burns more calories than normal endurance training. The afterburn effect, i.e. the calorie burn after interval training, is also up to 48 hours, about 3 times longer than training methods with constant load.

The efficient HIIT method is also already used in the gyms of the Fitness First chain: here a variety of training courses are offered, which work with the help of the training method: freestyle, Movelt, TRX Circuit, ProCycling and many more.

Research also showed that HIIT programs can lower blood sugar and insulin levels, so training can also be seen as diabetes prevention.

So whether it's for weight loss, muscle building or preventative health, HIIT high-intensity interval training helps achieve all of these goals quickly and effectively.
