The largest U.S. trade show for the fitness industry this year drew 11,700 trade attendees, 366 exhibitors - with an increase in foreign companies compared to last year.
In the exhibition area of the show, the trend of early morning workouts has become established at IHRSA in recent years. Specifically, this means that mornings are not the only time to work out in the convention area. Before the halls open, exhibitors come to their booth or the booth of other exhibitors (!) and test the equipment there in the form of an early-morning workout.
Accompanying the Trade Show is an international congress with top-class speakers giving over 100 presentations. Key note speakers this year were: Gary Vaynerchuck, Luke Williams, Mary Hogshead and Dan Heath. Hans Muenchfle-xx
fle-xx at IHRSA
As an international distributor of fle-xx Rückgratkonzept GmbH, Jimmy Andrew with Scotfit GmbH and developer Rudi Plüddemann made their debut at IHRSA 2014 in San Diego.
The premiere of the backbone concept on an international stage was a complete success and opened the eyes of many visitors and exhibitors to a new training concept that was not previously known in the international industry. The training circuit, consisting of eight machines for targeted muscle length training, was even used by many exhibitors as a "warm up" in the morning before the start of the trade fair, so that more people tried out and successfully tested the fle-xx circuit every day. Guided by the new master trainer fle-xx USA Jennifer Schuhmann, not only exhibitors like Sean Gangon (Abs Company) or Lenny Snyderman (Helix Company) were of course allowed to train, but also German trade fair visitors, including Günter Noll (Donna's Bonn) and Johannes Linzenich (Linzenich Fitnessgruppe), who cut a good figure even without sportswear.
Ultimately, however, a trade fair is also successful when you expand your profile in the fitness sector and develop new partnerships. Therefore, at the end of the show, the team was pleased to introduce three new distributors. In the future, the companies Interspor, Leaderfit and City Fitness will make it possible to purchase fle-xx equipment on the fitness market in Turkey, France and Qatar.
14th European Congress of IHRSA October 16-19, 2014, Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam.
IHRSA's 14th European Congress will be held in Amsterdam from October 16-19, 2014, at the venerable Beurs van Berlage, a former stock exchange building. Over 500 members of the professional fitness industry in Europe have already announced their attendance. The congress will provide a unique platform for industry decision-makers and operators to exchange ideas and engage in European networking.
The European Congress of the International Health & Racket Association will once again feature an extensive program of presentations by top-class speakers. The speakers come from the industry as well as from other sectors. "The seminars and lectures are designed with a dual focus: On the one hand, we will stimulate progress within the industry, and on the other, participants will gain valuable impetus from other industries. We also want to stimulate a constructive, international dialog among the participants," explains Hans Muench, IHRSA Europe Director.
