The Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2024 have nominated Technogym's innovative Excite Line as a finalist. This nomination recognizes excellence in plastic recycling technology, product design and sustainable production. Technogym has made impressive progress with the Excite Line and is setting new standards in the fitness industry.
Focus on sustainability
An outstanding feature of the Excite Line is the use of more than 60 percent recycled plastic in its components. By using recycled material, CO₂ emissions have been reduced by 50 percent , making a significant contribution to environmental protection. This sustainability strategy makes the Excite Line a pioneer in the field of environmentally friendly fitness equipment.
Innovative material
The Excite Line uses anadvanced thermoplastic resin made from 60 percent recycled household and electronic waste. This material carries the 'Plastica Seconda Vita da Raccolta Differenziata' certificate from the Istituto Italiano Plastici (IIP), which confirms the high quality and sustainability of the raw materials used.
Energy efficiency
Another advantage of the Excite Line is its energy efficiency. The new Excite Run consumes 15 percent less energy than its predecessor, resulting in considerable savings in operating costs. In addition, there is the innovative Human Power version of some devices, which works without electricity or batteries and therefore leaves an even smaller ecological footprint.
Environmentally friendly packaging
Technogym pays attention to sustainability not only in the equipment itself, but also in the packaging. 100 percent of the wood used and up to 70 percent of the cardboard come from sustainable and traceable sources. In addition, all graphics are printed with water-based ink, which also protects the environment.
Wide product range
The Excite Line comprises seven different cardio machines: Excite Run, Excite Synchro, Excite Bike, Excite Vario, Excite Recline, Excite Climb and Excite Top. This variety allows users to achieve their fitness goals with environmentally friendly equipment without compromising on choice or quality.
