Digitalization and technological progress are changing health and fitness on a grand scale. Wearables, apps and virtual platforms enable personalized, flexible training concepts with precise feedback - available at any time and on an individual basis. But what impact is this development having and what opportunities are there for the industry and fitness enthusiasts? FIBO 2025 will address precisely these questions with the new Confex Hall.
Confex Hall: future meets innovation
"With the Confex Hall, we are creating a new platform in a state-of-the-art setting that focuses on innovation, technology and the future of the fitness and health industry. With the combination of Expo and Education Areas, the Confex Hall is aimed equally at professionals and, at the weekend, at our tech-loving private visitors," says Silke Frank, Event Director FIBO, describing the orientation of the new hall.
Future Forum: A look into the future of fitness and health
The Future Forum, previously located in Hall 7, is moving to the Confex Hall, where it will become the centerpiece for industry professionals and investors. On Thursday and Friday, visitors can expect a top-class program with lectures, panels and pitches from leading experts such as Bryan O'Rourke, Karl Foster and Daniel Jones. The focus will be on topics such as AI-supported coaching, digital business models, automation and the future of fitness studios. FIBO's partners include Europe Active, BSA, M&L Partners, EGYM, Technogym, Myzone and Urban Sports Club.
A highlight: Gregor Bieler, CEO of Sport Alliance, will provide valuable insights into digital sales strategies. Afterwards, industry experts such as Jens Schultze (Les Mills), Ernst De Neef (Funxtion) and Tarek Mounir (Enhance) will delve deeper into the topic in a panel discussion. The panel will also shed light on how fitness companies can increase their efficiency and develop new business models through digital transformation.
New perspectives for private visitors
For the first time, the Future Forum will also open its doors to private visitors at the weekend. The BSA Academy will be presenting innovative formats such as mixed reality training, smart health solutions and AI-supported fitness programs that provide new impetus for an active lifestyle. The program also includes exciting live demonstrations and interactive workshops where visitors can try out the latest technologies first-hand.
FIBO also offers a career platform with companies such as PRIME TIME Fitness, RSG Group (Gold's Gym, McFit, JOHN REED) and Wellyou Fitness presenting their job offers. This gives visitors the opportunity to find out about career opportunities in the fitness industry and make valuable contacts.
Tech Valley: The future of fitness technologies
The well-known "Tech Valley" moves into the Confex Hall and offers visionary companies such as Lexicon Software, CloudFit Pty Ltd and Fit Alliance a stage for their latest innovations in hardware and software. Groundbreaking technologies that make fitness equipment smarter and take the training experience to a new level will be presented here. Visitors can look forward to interactive demonstrations and exclusive insights into the latest developments.
Smart fitness equipment and AI-supported training
Another focus of the Confex Hall is on smart fitness equipment and AI-controlled training. Companies such as Technogym, EGYM and Myzone will be demonstrating how artificial intelligence can optimize individual training. Real-time analyses, personalized training plans and smart wearables make training more efficient, safer and more motivating.
A hotspot for progress and networking
The Confex Hall brings together leading minds from the health and fitness industry with ground-breaking technological developments. Here, the future is not only imagined, but experienced live. The Confex Hall is located in the south of Koelnmesse and has its own entrance. Visitors arriving by car will benefit from a shuttle service from parking lot P22 to the Confex entrance on Thursday and Friday.
