What's new at FIBO 2018?

At this year's FIBO in Cologne, there will be many innovations to make the leading trade show for fitness, wellness and health even more attractive and exciting for its visitors. We reveal to you what all will change in 2018!

The new structure of FIBO

FIBO will be even more visitor-friendly this year: the new structure should help visitors find their way around better and faster. From 2018, the trade show will be just FIBO without the three-way division into FIBO EXPERT, FIBO PASSION and FIBO POWER. "We think fitness holistically," says FIBO Director Silke Frank. "So there will only be FIBO. The three-part division of the trade shows is no longer in keeping with the times." FIBO will be organized according to thematic areas of the industry, which will also be an advantage for the exhibiting companies, as the trade show areas will become more permeable.

FIBO Academy - more training and further education

The range of training and further education on offer will also become larger - a wish of the trade visitors! One in five would like to expand their own expertise at FIBO. To this end, the Academy continuing education event has been newly added to the program, where participants can increase their know-how for three days and hear presentations from top-class speakers on topics such as customer relations, fan engagement, individual course concepts and digitalization. For networking with associations, institutions, exhibitors as well as speakers and presenters, a lounge will be set up for undisturbed exchanges.

There will also be something new and interesting for start-ups: Young companies and start-ups will be presenting themselves in the New Business theme area in Hall 5.2. All young entrepreneurs and those who want to become one can get live advice there. Management consultants, banks, insurance companies and franchise providers will also be present.

More program for physiotherapists

Physiotherapists can look forward to extended offers, especially on FIBO Sunday there will be even more program. For example, the "Physio@work" practice workshop and the "Physiotherapy Meeting Point", which will also feature a networking evening for exchanging ideas and making contacts, will take place on the last day of the show.

This year will also see the Physio Day, which will be all about Fascia Training will be multilingual to allow international visitors to participate as well.

Silence Silence Slots

To ensure that all exhibitors can talk to their business partners in peace, the FIBO volume and show concept has been improved. On all four days of the show, there will therefore be two to three one-hour Silence Slots in Halls 6, 7 and 9 to enable business talks to be held in a quiet atmosphere. In addition, the event areas and stages in the FIBO POWER halls will be closed on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, the lunch time between 12 and 2 p.m. will be used as a Silence Slot for talks.
