In mid-June, the new Twentyfour fitness studio opened in Ludwigsburg, on the urbanharbor district. The operator of the studio is Philipp Maier, who has already been running the neighboring urbanhealthclub for almost two and a half years.
The idea for the new Twentyfour gym came about in 2021, and construction work began in early 2022. The former industrial hall is located directly opposite the urbanhealthclub, docked to the Outdoor Gym.
As the name suggests, Twentyfour is open 24 hours a day. The special thing about the concept is that everything is completely automated and without staff. The monthly membership costs 19.90 euros, and additional services can be booked for an extra charge.
Twentyfour focuses on sustainability and energy efficiency. All devices function without electricity and self-propelled, climate-neutral and self-sufficient via energy storage units on the roofs, which can feed energy in a targeted manner.
Three areas, three independent business models
Fitness studio operator Philipp Maier divides Twentyfour's approximately 2,000 m2 of space into three areas with three independent business models.
Twentyfour Gym offers Fitness, Performance, Athletic and Sports. The facility is equipped with equipment from Life Fitness & Hammer Strength.
Twentyfour sports is a multifunctional ball sports area. The 500 m2 facility offers sports such as badminton, table tennis, basketball, soccer and boxing. Twentyfour sports is open to all members as well as non-members. Members receive discount codes for discounted use.
The third area is called urbantherapy. This is a physical therapy and healing practice. This is located in the middle wing of the hall on the first floor and has a separate entrance. The physiotherapy and healing practice also forms the bridge to the urbanhealthclub.
Fancy and futuristic
Twentyfour was to be the complete opposite of urbanhealthclub. It was to be fancy and futuristic. In the center of the hall, a cube was formed completely mirrored - on two levels, with a footbridge docked on two containers standing on top of each other. Blue designer walls, recycled flooring as well as sustainable materials complete the concept in itself.
