The Shakti Yoga Wheel
Looking for new yoga support? For a few months now, you've been seeing more and more pictures on Instagram and Facebook of an interesting, circular exercise device to support various yoga poses, e.g. as a practical support for backbends. The Yoga Wheel can now also be found at yoga workshops or festivals or in some yoga classes themselves.
It all started with Sri Dharma Mittra and his son, Yogi Varuna. They are the developers of the "Dharma Yoga Wheel" and have been so successful with the use of the wheel that there is now even a yoga teacher training course for it. The yoga wheel can be used in a variety of ways to help open the back, shoulders and chest and stretch the hips and thigh muscles. It is also used to make it easier to hold balance positions and provides support for all difficult backbends. For restorative positions, the so-called "rolling" can work wonders for tense back and shoulder muscles.
Until now, the wheel was only available in the USA - now it is also coming to the German market. The Shakti Yoga Wheel tutorial is available on YouTube and contains various exercises and demonstrations of how the most difficult asanas can be done better thanks to the wheel.
The Yoga Wheel can be used for all yoga levels and is particularly useful when working with private clients or small groups.
