The strength-endurance circuit is a good mix of modern technology and Prussian military circuit training. Here, drill, fun, variety and sports science findings come together. But what exactly do strength and endurance mean in the context of your conditioning workout? Which muscles can you really train efficiently in a strength-endurance circuit?
Taking the concept of circuit training a step further
Circuit training is nothing new, almost every German student will still know it from school lessons. The teacher whistles and wheezing students have to move from the jump ropes to the high bar. The principle works, even competitive athletes like the Klitschko brothers rely on exactly these methods: the body gets only short breaks, the muscles are trained in alternation. This means that your legs might get a break during the next exercise, but your circulation has to keep going. This is also the secret behind the efficiency of the strength-endurance circuit, but due to the special experience of manufacturer milon , this system is even a bit more sophisticated. Because the (usually) twelve machines in the strength-endurance circuit are precisely coordinated with each other, all major muscle groups are addressed. Starting with the core , you work on stabilizing muscles in the back, the large muscle groups in the legs and buttocks , and also the arms.
The highlight of the strength-endurance circuit, however, lies in the special technology in the machines. Electronic resistors are used here. Thus, the resistance of the machine is designed progressively and adjusted during the movement. With weights you can overcome a strength point and compensate the movement by momentum, that doesn't work here. Every second is muscle work - and that includes the moments after you change machines. Because you don't have to worry about setting the weight, your chip card does that for you automatically. Your circulation will benefit from this intensity in the long term, even if you may soon curse the lack of breaks.
Intensive training for all major muscle groups
The muscle training in the strength-endurance circuit addresses your entire body, because that's how it was designed. This is also true for the pure strength circuit, which only sets the focus differently. This is the only way the circuit can work at all, it gives your muscles short breaks again and again, but keeps you working mercilessly. This is what you will feel after a strength-endurance circuit. All over your body.
