FIBO, Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health, scheduled for April 8-11, 2021 in Cologne, Germany, will take place June 24-27. This is in line with the current Covid 19 development. With the postponement, FIBO creates more planning security for exhibitors and visitors.

"We are confident that we will be able to create more optimal conditions for a safe event with the new summer date. In doing so, we are also looking at how we can ideally combine real and digital components. The availability of vaccines in the course of 2021 also gives us reason for optimism," says Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein, CEO of organizer Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH. "The still unclear pandemic developments and framework conditions have prompted us to reassess the situation. For us, the first priority is to minimize the health but also economic risks for all participants and to avoid unnecessary costs," Binder-Krieglstein continued.

For the fitness industry, which has been hit hard by the pandemic, next year's FIBO is an anchor of hope. With the new date in the summer, FIBO is responding to the wishes of many exhibitors, for whom the show is the most important trading center of the year. "We are doing everything we can to start again with the presence trade show in 2021 and assume that the situation will have improved from June onwards with regard to legal and economic conditions such as travel restrictions, among other things," says FIBO boss Silke Frank. "We will make optimal use of the extended preparation time to realize a safe and successful FIBO 2021 for all participants in the summer."

FIBO 2021 will take place from June 24 to 27 in Koelnmesse's usual hall constellation. To kick off the show, the European Health & Fitness Forum (EHFF) will be held the day before on June 23. This was agreed upon by FIBO and EuropeActive. The new FIBO Congress on the first and second day of the show will be organized in cooperation with the BSA Academy and the German University for Prevention and Health Management.
