Pilot project in Fellbach
Fitness und Sport GmbH started as a BodyWave reference business back in 2011 under the motto "Specialists under one roof - The Fellbach House of Health" in order to tap into new customer potential through its medical focus. In August last year, a pilot project of pioneering importance was launched. With the help of quality assurance from BodyWave, the FPZ KONZEPT from FPZ: DEUTSCHLAND DEN RÜCKEN STÄRKEN GmbH was installed for the first time in a company in the secondary healthcare market. The FPZ KONZEPT is an integrated functional back pain therapy using large-scale equipment.
The FPZ KONZEPT measurably reduces pain
93.5 percent of participating patients experienced a reduction in existing neck and back pain. In addition to the newly gained quality of life, the number of visits to the doctor, physiotherapy and medication is reduced. The FPZ KONZEPT is characterized not only by its high effectiveness against back pain, but also by its exemplary safety. More than 95 percent of patients are able to complete the program against back pain. This effective and proven program against back pain is sponsored by over 50 health insurance companies.
Differentiation through quality
Looking at the first six months after the start of the pilot project, we can speak of a great success. It has been shown that such a high-quality concept can also be implemented in companies in the secondary healthcare market if the required quality features are adhered to. This contributes to a clear differentiation from the classic fitness business, but above all to the differentiation from the ever-growing discount sector and sports club centers (for the competitive situation in Fellbach, see F&G 06/13). "The requirements for implementing this concept are high, but feasible. The club's overall operating model is also important for success. Only then can the full economic potential be exploited. My father's experience was of great importance here," reports Marcel Röhrle, Managing Director of Fitness und Sport GmbH and son of Thomas Röhrle. BodyWave now aims to pass on this experience to other companies.
