The Brunswick Corporation, the parent company of the fitness equipment manufacturer Life Fitnesshas appointed a new head for its fitness division, according to a company press release. British national Jason Worthy, former Vice President of Life Fitness, succeeds Jaime Irick as President of Life Fitness with immediate effect. Irick has left the company. Worthy will report to Brunswick board members David Everitt and David Singer.
"We would like to thank Jaime Irick for his commitment to advancing our fitness division in terms of technology and digitalization in a market that is undergoing significant change," said Mark Schwabero, CEO of Brunswick. His successor will be able to build on this immediately. Thanks to his many years of international experience in leading positions in the fitness industry, Worthy is ideally suited to making Life Fitness even better and continuing its growth. "Jason Worthy knows the needs of both the industry and the fitness studios. That's why he can strengthen the market position and customer satisfaction in equal measure."
Schwabero also emphasized that Worthy is expected to drive the spin-off of Life Fitness into a stand-alone company as planned. Brunswick has appointed board members Everitt and Singer as senior project managers to provide support. They will be heavily involved in the strategic and operational business of Life Fitness to manage the successful reorganization and transformation into a stable company.
