The final of the milon BOOST Award will take place on December 15, 2019 as an interactive live show at the Design Offices Atlas in Munich.
The five finalists in the special category "Start-up Support" of the BOOST Award have been announced: Steven Helvogt, Pablo Pico, Susanne Backhove, Steve Brenke and Christoph Hirle will compete in the grand live final for the grant worth 50,000 euros to set up a milon MICROCLUB. The finalists in the "Fitness & Health" and "Therapy & Medical" categories will also find out in the final who will receive the coveted BOOST Award.
The five finalists will have to convince the expert jury and prove in exciting challenges whether they have what it takes to become a microstudio founder. But it's not just the jury's opinion that counts: The milon community and the candidates' fans can also follow the event from 3 p.m. via livestream at www.boostaward.de and vote live for their favorite. The expert jury for the BOOST Award 2019 consists of Udo Münster, CEO of milon, Wolf Harwath, founder and Managing Director of five, Sven Eismann, member of the Magicline Management Board and Thorsten Rebek, Managing Director of bodyLIFE Medien GmbH. The show will be hosted by Hannah Klose from Munich, who is very familiar with the start-up and digital scene.
"We are hosting the BOOST Award for the first time this year - this is also a very special event for us and I am particularly pleased that we can give committed people from our industry a chance to realize their studio dream," explains Udo Münster. "The five finalists submitted great videos that not only impressed us, but also the community. As we judges ultimately have to choose one or two, the right mix of entrepreneurial skills and a tangible passion for fitness and health is crucial for me."
"A founder must be aware that after setting up their own microstudio, they are not just a trainer, but also have to deal with accounting and tax law as an entrepreneur. Furthermore, the personality of the founder and the trainer team plays a very important role in customer acquisition and retention," explains Thorsten Rebek, Managing Director of bodyLIFE Medien GmbH. "Our magazines and events reflect developments in the fitness market. Boutique studios are in the process of establishing themselves firmly on the market and the BOOST Award is a good opportunity for new start-ups to enter the fitness industry. That's why we are happy to support the BOOST Award and are delighted to be involved as a competent media partner."
