The new InBody 770, successor to the InBody 720, analyzes the fat and muscle distribution in the individual body segments (torso, arms, legs), visceral fat (organ fat) as well as proteins and minerals in one minute using direct segmental measurement. The system also analyzes the ratio of extracellular water to total body water, which is an indicator of a balanced water balance. The phase angle, which provides information about the cell and health status of the organism, is also displayed.
InBody does not use empirical standard values of the average population (e.g. age, gender). Data can be entered via touchscreen (screen diagonal 25.91 cm) or keyboard and transmitted wirelessly to a computer via W-LAN or Bluetooth.
The InBody 770 has been available since August.
