80,000 visitors and more exhibitors than ever before
(28.1.2016) The ISPO sports trade fair came to an end yesterday, and the organizers have drawn a positive conclusion. Over 80,000 trade visitors from 120 countries came to the world's largest sports trade fair. A total of 2,645 exhibitors showcased their products in 16 exhibition halls. The majority of exhibitors came from abroad, which underlines the high internationality of ISPO.

Klaus Dittrich, Chairman and CEO of Messe München, is pleased with the high level of popularity for ISPO and also with the range of products on display: "The variety of innovations and new products shown at ISPO MUNICH has further strengthened the industry's confidence in mastering the current challenges posed by climate and structural change."
The more than 80,000 trade visitors over the four days of the trade fair were joined by numerous celebrities from the worlds of sport and politics. For example, captain Philipp Lahm and coach Pep Guardiola from FC Bayern Munich came to Messe München, as did Federal Minister Dr. Gerd Müller, speed skater Claudia Pechstein and former weightlifter Matthias Steiner.
The exhibition space at ISPO this year was 180,000 square meters, spread over 16 exhibition halls. With 2,645 exhibitors, there were 60 more than last year, 87 percent of whom came from abroad. The next ISPO in Munich will take place from February 5 to 8, 2017.
