The vibration plate may look less spectacular than other training devices, but the vibrations are really something. The concentrated efficiency ensures that just 5-20 minutes of workout on the vibration plate is completely sufficient. But what does a workout on the vibration plate actually look like and what exercises do you perform on the plate?
A simple workout - with vibrating complications
If you're already somewhat proficient in training, most of the exercises will look very familiar to you. This makes perfect sense, because the vibration plate and its vibrations are what make the exercises so difficult. A typical workout on the vibration plate can start with squats. Here, the vibrations support the effort of the exercise - but make sure that the legs are always under tension, i.e. never fully extended. This also works with push-ups, analogous to the squats you should always keep the arms slightly under tension. In addition to legs and arms, you can also train your abdominal muscles on the vibration plate. Sit on the plate and stretch your legs away from your body, with your upper body at about 45 degrees to the floor, keeping your body in balance. Be careful, this exercise is already challenging without a vibration plate. You can also add momentum and swing to gymnastics exercises like the bridge, placing your feet on the vibration plate and stretching your body into the bridge. For a warm up or ideal for beginners, simple up and down is great. Here you alternately get on and off the plate. All these exercises sound easy? They are. However, when training with the vibration plate, you will quickly notice that a vibrating surface gives every exercise, no matter how simple, a very special appeal.
Short workout with long effect
What you should also keep in mind when training on the vibration plate
Vibrations in your head cause headaches, quite logically. However, we often lose sight of this during training, so make sure you keep your head away from the vibration plate. In addition, especially beginners tend to sloppiness on the vibration plate. However, a technically clean execution is the basic requirement to take full advantage of the efficiency of the plate. If you are advanced and love the dynamics of bands, ropes and rings, you can combine this with the vibration plate. However, make sure that bands and co. are kept short, otherwise they will swallow the vibrations for you.
