On Saturday, February 24, 2018, the 1st Fitness Science Congress will take place. On this day, leading scientists from different disciplines will meet at the IST University of Management. Addressed are all those who deal scientifically with fitness or intend to do so in the future.
The fitness industry has experienced rapid growth in recent years. This makes the science of this industry all the more important in order to do justice to the significance of fitness under health and social aspects. At the first-ever Fitness Science Congress, renowned scientists and motivated young researchers will give presentations on four main topics: "Strength Training," "Endurance Training," "Physiology" and "Sports Medicine.
To date, there have been countless studies on strength training, endurance training and Co. - but not a summarizing science for fitness. The topic has not received sufficient attention in science to date. This should change, thinks also the initiator of the fitness science congress, Prof. Dr. Stephan Geisler from the IST University of Management: "I would like to see scientists exchanging ideas - the experienced and the young colleagues alike. I want the visitors to educate themselves and take the solid knowledge from the congress to the gyms."
To give participating young scientists a platform for their work, the congress organizers have come up with something very special: The Young Investigators Award calls on all young scientists to present their scientific study in the form of a short poster presentation during the congress.
