The area of therapy, rehabilitation and prevention is becoming increasingly important. This is also reflected in the offer for physiotherapists at this year's FIBO. A new practical workshop, top international speakers and more program on Sunday - physiotherapists, sports scientists and sports physicians will be offered even more from April 12 to 15, 2018! Halls 7 and 8 will then be entirely dedicated to Therapy and rehabilitation. Here you can find out what's new this year!
Physio@work - new practice workshop
Because practice is enormously important for physiotherapists, there will be a practice workshop on FIBO Sunday. The new Physio@work format, which will take place in the Speaker's Forum in Hall 8, is being organized in cooperation with the German Academy for Applied Sports Medicine (DAASM). For two hours each, four workshops will focus on the following topics: elastic taping techniques as a neuro-motor learning aid, fascia stretching protocol, 3D Maps by Gary Gray, and myoreflex therapy according to Dr. Mosetter. The places are limited!
6th physio day - everything about fascia
The 6th Physio Day on April 13 will focus on the topic of Fascia because fascia therapies and fascia research are becoming more and more important for physiotherapy. The specialist event for physiotherapists, physiotherapy students and trainees is entitled "The relevance of the myofascial system in therapy and training in the musculoskeletal field" and is being held in cooperation with Thieme Verlag and the FiHH Fortbildungsinstitut.
Speakers from Germany and the USA will be welcomed to speak on topics such as "Role of the fascial network in chronic back pain" and "Trigger point therapy and dry needling" as well as fascia treatment in sports physiotherapy. International visitors are also expected at Physiotag, as the event will be multilingual.
DAASM Symposium - international know-how
As part of FIBO, the DAASM Symposium will now take place for the 4th time, hosted by the German Academy for Applied Sports Medicine (DAASM). With training specialists from Australia, Bolivia, Germany and the USA passing on their knowledge in exciting lectures, international know-how is coming to Cologne for FIBO. All participants in the symposium can also take part in the free additional offer with the motto "Physio meets Business" and attend four 45-minute training courses on the topics of Sling Training, Diagnostics, personal training in the health industry and fascia training.
DGSP Congress "Is exercise doping for the brain?"
If you are interested in the topic of exercise in sports medicine, the DGSP Congress on FIBO Friday is the right place to be. As a long-standing partner of FIBO, the DGSP (German Society for Sports Medicine and Prevention) is holding its own sports medicine congress with the theme "Is Exercise Doping for the Brain?" for sports physicians, sports scientists and physiotherapists.
4th THERA-BIZ Business Congress - the economic side
Also on Friday, the THERA-BIZ Economic Congress will take place, where physiotherapists can learn about the economic operation of training space and courses. Experts will explain how to find specialists for your own practice or what to consider legally when it comes to vacation entitlement. Therapists who want to open their own practice will receive valuable information on this topic at the THERA-BIZ Business Congress.
5th BGM-Workshop - Information about occupational health management
On Thursday, April 12, the Bundesverband Betriebliches Gesundheitsmanagement e. V. is holding the BGM workshop "Reaching at-risk groups: personal training and coaching in BGM". The event is aimed at interested companies and potential BGM service providers.
