Concept2 Holiday Challenge: Collect kilometres and do good until Christmas

4 Ratings

Whether rowing, cross-country skiing or cycling - cover as many kilometres as possible on the RowErg, BikeErg or SkiErg. Because until Christmas Eve, i.e. 24 December 2021, Concept2 will be donating money to five charities as part of the Holiday Challenge. Can your members make the 100,000 meters? Or even 200,000?

Starting on American Thanksgiving on November 25, 2021 and running through Christmas Eve, the Concept2 Holiday Challenge 2021 is all you and your members need is the free Concept2 LogBook.

Here's how the Holiday Challenge works: cover as many miles as possible while rowing, cross-country skiing, and/or biking by 11:59 p.m. on December 24, 2021.

But beware: only meters covered indoors - i.e. on RowErg, SkiErg or BikeErg - count, not in the water, on the street or in the snow. However, you may combine the meters of each device to reach your goal. However, BikeErg meters only count for half, so you get one credit for every two meters.

Once you reach a total of 100 kilometers, the donation of $0.02 (about 1.8 cents) per kilometer ridden will flow. For children and para-athletes (athletes with disabilities), 50 kilometres is the minimum distance. As soon as this is reached, Concept2 will donate 0.4 US dollars (approx. 0.35 euros).

--> The Kids' Holiday Challenge over 50 kilometers is for children up to 16 years. Para-athletes can choose between 50, 100 and 200 kilometres.

Important: As it is an individual challenge, each participant has to cover his or her kilometres alone. All kilometres covered must be entered in their online logbook by 23:59 (GMT) on Tuesday, 4 January at the latest.

And what reward awaits the participants? Depending on how many kilometres you cover, you can reach two levels:

  • Level 1 (minimum 100 kilometres) - Certificate of Achievement (downloadable) and access to the Holiday Challenge Shop.
  • Level 2 (minimum 200 kilometers, children and para-athletes: 50 kilometers) - Certificate of Achievement (downloadable) and Holiday Challenge pin.

All further information on the exact procedure of the Holiday Challenge is available directly on the Concept2 website.
