Indoor Cycling World Record
As part of FIBO 2015 in China, the largest number of people came out on Sept. 6 to do indoor cycling together - a new Guinness World Record was set! The nearly 1,000 fitness enthusiasts were equipped with indoor cycling bikes from the company DHZ Fitness whose equipment is available in Europe through Supersport Fitness available in Europe.
Largest yoga class
A world record was set for the first World Yoga Day on June 21, 2015, in New Delhi, India. There, exactly 35,985 people completed a yoga class together. The whole thing was organized by the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) and besides soldiers, civil servants and students even the Indian Prime Minister took part in the action, which also set a second record: This one concerned the number of different nations at one yoga class. Longest distance on the treadmill
The world record holder, who covered the furthest distance on a treadmill is Suresh Joachim. The Canadian ran in 24 hours actually 257.88 kilometers!
The Austrian Rainer Predl took on a similar challenge and wanted to run 25.88 kilometers in seven days. seven days as many kilometers as possible on the treadmill. In the end there were 852.46 kilometers on the display and thus a new world record. In the seven days, he ran for 168 hours and slept for 15.
The most push-ups
This record was set some time ago, but it is not to be sneezed at either: Charles Servizio managed within 24 hours a whopping 46.001 push-ups! That's an average of 1,916 in one hour.
A somewhat more recent record in this area was set by the Swiss Roman Dossenbach. In one hour he managed 2,392 push-ups and is now in the Guinness Book of Records. And Jeffrey Warrick did 175 push-ups in one minute in 2015. 175 push-ups in one minute - that's three per second!
