As part of the "FutureHotel" research project, the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (Fraunhofer IAO) has conducted a comprehensive study on the topic of spa and wellness experiences in recent months. The study contrasts the views of hotel guests and hoteliers - and thus provides very interesting insights for operators of premium studios as well.
In the popularity scale, the "sanarium" (61 percent) outperformed the Finnish Sauna (58 percent) in this study. Even more popular, however, are steam baths (70 percent) and, above all, swimming pools (90 percent).
The Wellness offers will differentiate themselves further in the future. Those who want to continue to be successful with wellness offerings should therefore keep an eye on the trends in this area.
