The back-friendly Bambach® saddle seat has been marketed in Germany exclusively by the manufacturer and company Hager & Werken for many years.
What are the main differences to conventional chairs or other saddle seats? A "normal" chair forces the spine into an unhealthy posture in the shape of a "C". This unnatural posture increases the pressure on the intervertebral discs enormously. The result can be a variety of problems, usually associated with back, neck, arm, hand or shoulder pain.
A flat seat or an imitation saddle seat without a curved back makes it difficult for the spine to assume its natural "S" posture. With a conventional chair, research has shown that sitting forward bent causes disc pressure similar to lifting heavy weights.
Only the Bambach® Saddle Seat supports the pelvis optimally with its patented seat curvature and allows the spine to assume its natural "S" shape. This prevents an incorrect sitting posture and ensures a natural, healthy sitting posture. In an optimal sitting posture, the head is in an upright position above the back, the elbows at the sides at a 90° angle, the hips slightly higher than the knees and the feet flat on the floor. In addition, the Bambach® saddle seat can be adjusted both in height and in angle of inclination, for an optimal sitting posture.
Anyone who adopts an ergonomically correct posture will notice after just a few days that typical neck and shoulder pain is considerably reduced or even disappears completely. This improved posture not only has a positive effect on health, but has also been proven to increase the quality and productivity of work.
Since 1988, the original Bambach® saddle seat has been continuously improved and positively evaluated in many studies (on request). The Bambach® Saddle Seat, which has been clinically tested several times, is a registered medical device and meets all requirements of the German Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG). In addition, the Bambach is ergonomically certified and tested by AGR - Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. (Action for Healthy Backs).
For the first time, Hager & Werken will be exhibiting at this year's leading international trade fair for modern working environments ORGATEC from 25 - 29 October 2022 in Cologne and will be presenting the Bambach® in all its diversity and different versions.
Of course, the Bambach® can also be tested and examined more closely on site at ORGATEC. The booth is located in hall 6 D036.
