The basis of the casual, new trend sport Teqball is soccer. Soccer is THE number 1 popular sport in this country, and it's not just men who are enthusiastic about it, as it used to be. As early as 1995, the then head of the FIFA World Association, Sepp Blattner, stated: "The future of soccer is female!" And so Teqball - the soccer variant played in pairs on a curved table - attracts men and women, youngsters and children alike!
High fun factor, maximum effective training
Teqball is an insanelyversatile sport. Depending on the agreement among the players, Teqball can be played in different variants on the curved table. As a soccer variant, the fast, exciting game is particularly popular, but volleyball variants and other types of games are also growing in popularity.
As in table tennis, the ball must be passed over the curved tabletop to the other side. In the soccer variant, of course, with the foot, in exceptional cases also with the head. Just like in real soccer! Due to the shape of the plate , it is particularly strenuous and exciting to "get" the ball and play it back as precisely as possible.
This is just as much fun for amateurs playing a quick game in between as it is for die-hard soccer fans, who can improve their technical skills, stamina and ability to concentrate with the soccer variant on the table.
Teqball is pure soccer: the players have no physical contact. They are separated by the board. Players can compete in singles matches, but even more fun is had in doubles constellations. This makes Teqball also great for indoor training in winter: Injuries due to collisions or fouls are practically non-existent.
Teqball - more than just a training variant
The inventors of Teqball have big plans for the new, energetic trend sport with addiction factor. Teqball is not to be a shadowy existence as a training option for soccer players, but a sport in its own right with its own competitions! One of the founders' goals is to become an established sport with regular tournaments, championships and qualifying matches for an annual Teqball World Cup. There is already an international federation, the FITEQ, but the foundation of a Teqball federation in Germany is still pending.
There is no doubt, however, that the soccer variant on the table has great potential in soccer training and is especially popular in the promotion of young players! Well-known greats of the sport such as Andy Möller or the Dutch soccer legend Ronald Koeman are enthusiastic about the new sport. In some professional clubs Teqball is already used with great success as a training element and in the promotion of young players.
