After four years as Event Director of the leading trade fair for fitness, wellness and health, Ralph Scholz is leaving Reed Exhibitions Germany, organizer of trade fairs, exhibitions and congresses, in the middle of the year. He hands over the office to his successor Silke Frank, who will take over after the upcoming FIBO and a joint transition phase.
With Scholz at the helm, both the number of visitors and the area of FIBO have doubled since 2013, when the show was held in Cologne again for the first time. And the number of exhibitors has also increased by 60 percent since then.
"Ralph Scholz is an architect of the success FIBO has achieved since its move from Essen to Cologne. FIBO is currently one of the leading trade fairs with the highest growth dynamics," says Hans-Joachim Erbel, CEO Reed Exhibitions Germany.
Around 1,000 exhibitors and 150,000 visitors are expected at the upcoming FIBO.
Who is Silke Frank?
The Düsseldorf native has already been working for Reed Exhibitions in the international trade show business for more than 17 years and thus brings a wealth of experience with her. The 43-year-old previously worked for PSI, the leading European trade show for the promotional products industry, as Event Director, where she was also responsible for PSI's global trade show activities.
"With Silke Frank, an extremely experienced trade show maker is moving in-house to the pole position at FIBO. She is a strategic head with her feet on the ground and brings with her everything in terms of trade show experience that we need for the further development of FIBO," says Hans-Joachim Erbel.
