Rowing like in water: The WaterRower

4 Ratings

Rowers are usually in top shape and real model athletes. This is not only due to weight training in the gym, but also because of the countless kilometers they paddle on the water. Because Rowing is a highly effective workout that has visible effects on the rowers' bodies. Now not all of us have the opportunity to row on the water, but there is a very good alternative for rowing training on land: the WaterRower. And we promise that it will make you feel like you are on the water!

WaterRower - the original since 1988

When the American rower John Duke invented the WaterRower in 1988, his goal was to create a rowing machine that would make training on land similar to training on water. The WaterRower in its current form was built in London. The first machines for the European market were made in a small factory in the southwest of England, before complete production was moved to the USA in 2003.

The WaterRower conveys an authentic rowing feeling and simulates rowing on calm water very accurately. Hardly any fitness equipment comes as close to the original sport as the WaterRower does to rowing. The WaterRower has undergone constant development and can now even be connected to the Internet, allowing users to compete against each other online. Incidentally, the WaterRower has a worldwide patent on the hydroplane wheel, which recreates the resistance of rowing.

Take advantage of the water!

Real rowing is simulated 1:1 by using water as a resistance element. Rowing works solely through our own physical effort. You alone determine how much power you use and with how much intensity you train. The more forcefully you pull, the more resistance is created - if you pull slowly, the resistance is low. Train exactly the way you feel comfortable and can afford.

So one advantage of the WaterRower is that you don't have to set the resistance manually, but it adjusts automatically to your performance. Here you no longer have to worry about incorrect settings, as might be the case with other fitness equipment. The WaterRower adjusts optimally to you - no matter how old or how fit you are.

The advantages of water at a glance:

→ automatic adjustment of the resistance

→ gentle on the joints

→ quiet and relaxing workout

→ no wear and tear, water is tireless.

Row your way to more endurance!

Rowing is an optimal full-body workout that uses 84 percent of your muscles. This makes rowing training more effective than almost any other endurance sport and also perfect for fitness training.

The benefits of rowing at a glance:

→ promotes the cardiovascular system

→ high calorie consumption

→ trains muscles, musculoskeletal system and posture

→ increases performance and condition

→ optimal combination of strength, endurance and concentration

→ is easy on the joints

By the way: the WaterRower won the Plus X Award, the world's largest innovation prize for products in technology, sports and lifestyle, in the design category. And it is the only piece of fitness equipment on display at the International Museum of Design in London.
