A long-term change in eating behavior and eating style requires not only specialist knowledge, but also a high level of motivation and discipline. Many people need professional support. The IST Study Institute has been training nutritionists for 15 years who have both mastered the basics of a healthy diet and have counseling skills. Anyone who wants to work in this field and registers for the training course starting in April can now benefit from an anniversary discount of 15 percent.
"We know a lot, but the implementation doesn't work," says Dr. Brigitte Bäuerlein, ecotrophologist and lecturer at IST-Studieninstitut. "Although there is a trend towards placing more and more value on organically grown products, the majority of the population eats too much and too poorly. A good nutritionist should therefore be able to motivate people in addition to carrying out a nutritional analysis and drawing up a nutrition plan."
The three-month training course is aimed at people who want to gain further qualifications in the health and fitness industry, as well as private individuals who want to expand their knowledge of healthy eating and pass it on to others. Participants acquire the theoretical content independently of time and location through two study books and three online lectures. In a final attendance phase, specialist knowledge and advisory skills can be applied and deepened. For the next start in April, there is a 15 percent discount on the course fee to mark the anniversary.
Anyone wishing to expand their knowledge beyond this can have the content credited towards the comprehensive further training course to become a "nutrition coach". Further information is available by telephone on 0800/478-0800, which is free of charge throughout Germany, or on the IST-Studieninstitut website.
