The 4th Fitness Science Congress, originally initiated by the IST University of Applied Sciences for Management in Düsseldorf, is moving its venue to the Julius-Maximilians-Universität in Würzburg this year. The event, which will take place from 15 to 16 March 2024, will be supplemented by an additional practical day on 17 March, organized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Germany.
The aim of the congress is to create a platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange between professionals from different areas of fitness science. This year is particularly characterized by the integration of an additional day dedicated entirely to practice. The focus is on the application of scientific findings in athletic training.
A wide range of topics, including strength and endurance training, technologies in the fitness industry, therapeutic approaches, physiology, nutritional science and psychological aspects of sport, will be discussed by experienced and emerging professionals. Speakers include high-ranking national and international experts such as Prof. Dr. Michael Kjaer from the University of Copenhagen.
The congress also provides a stage for young talent with the presentation of the Young Investigators Award. Prof. Dr. Stephan Geisler, a renowned sports scientist from IST University, emphasizes the importance of the event, especially the combination of theory and practice, which will be reinforced by the additional NSCA day.
Early bird tickets for this groundbreaking event are available online until the end of January.
