Muscles - often underestimated elements of our health

4 Ratings

Our muscles are often forgotten, yet they are an important part of our body. They give the body support and usually do their work unnoticed. Most people only realize that we have them when they cramp or hurt due to overuse.

But muscles can do much more than just perform movements. Studies have shown that they also function as an important metabolic organ of the body. When muscles are tense, so-called myokines (hormone-like substances) are produced and released into the bloodstream. These are said to have healing properties, which means that muscle training not only protects against back or joint problems, but also has a positive effect on many other conditions such as depression or high blood pressure. A reduced risk of breast and bowel cancer has also been proven. Of course, training our muscles also ensures a firm, toned body and an attractive figure.

The misconception that only endurance training is suitable for reducing fat has also been refuted: It has been proven that the more muscle mass the body has, the more energy it uses. What's more, our muscles can still be trained even at an advanced age. Exercising just twice a week strengthens the muscles in the long term.

Zirkeltraining Fitnessstudio

There is a lot of effective and useful training equipment available today, both in gyms and for home use. Training equipment from the milon brand stands out in particular. These enable users to train their muscles easily, safely and effectively and are also highly time-efficient.

The company five offers another training concept that is precisely tailored to the demands of the modern world: the training of the Freiburg doctor Walter Packi is based on biokinematics. The body is stretched and trained in exactly the opposite direction to its usual movements. This specifically addresses modern posture problems and tension caused by working in an office and a lack of movement, and takes the strain off the back and joints during training.

According to experts, both training concepts are currently the most time-efficient programs, as they are easy to get started with, easy to implement and effective in the long term.
