In April 2015, the Bachelor's degree programs at the IST University of Applied Sciences for Management will start again. Both the dual course of study "Fitness Science and Fitness Economics" and the course of study "Fitness and Health Management", which can be completed full-time or part-time, are completed with an internationally recognized academic degree. With a strong practical focus and a high degree of flexibility, the degree courses offer a promising entry into the fitness industry.
During their studies, students acquire sound business knowledge and the social, methodological and leadership skills that are important for management positions.
The acquisition of industry-relevant training licenses, with which the knowledge acquired can be applied on the training floor at an early stage, is integrated into the course of study. These include, for example, the market-recognized licenses "Fitness Training B License", "Medical Fitness Training A License" and "Sports Nutrition B License". This makes the degree courses equally attractive for employees and employers.
Study individually
With various elective modules, students have the opportunity to tailor their studies to their personal interests and practical requirements. Both courses are characterized by a modern mix of methods: In addition to study booklets that can be completed flexibly and supplementary attendance phases, there are multimedia forms of delivery such as virtual classrooms and online lectures. Students therefore largely decide for themselves when and where they want to study. In the dual study program "Fitness Science and Fitness Economics", students are employed for seven semesters. For the "Fitness and Health Management" course, students can decide for themselves whether they want to complete it in six semesters (full-time) or eight semesters (part-time).
Open day: get to know your personal contacts
Throughout the distance learning course, students are personally supported by their lecturers and tutors. Anyone who would like to get to know the IST University team in advance is cordially invited to the Open Day, which will take place as part of the nationwide Distance Learning Day on 20.02.2015 at Erkrather Straße 220a-c in 40233 Düsseldorf.
