Franchise company awards Germany Scholarship
The fitness company Bodystreet is increasingly focusing on the training and development of its employees. The franchise system is investing in the future of its staff and is now supporting Svenja Ojstersek, a student at the German University for Prevention and Health Management (DHfPG), with a scholarship. This is the second time since 2012 that Bodystreet has awarded the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship.
"Our employees have played the biggest part in the success of the Bodystreet brand," says Matthias Lehner, founder and Managing Director of the franchise system. "We are delighted to be able to support exceptionally talented and committed young people in their training with the Deutschlandstipendium." Svenja Ojstersek from Bodystreet-Studio Meerbusch is currently studying at the DHfPG and will now receive a monthly training allowance of 300 euros for one year. In addition to academic achievements, the jury's selection process also took social commitment and personal background into account when awarding the scholarship.
The Deutschlandstipendium is an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research to introduce a new scholarship culture in Germany. In cooperation with sponsors from the private sector, particularly high-achieving young students receive financial support. 50 percent of the funding is provided by the federal government, 50 percent by the respective companies. Bodystreet is participating in the initiative as a partner for the second time since 2012. The franchise system plays a pioneering role in the industry in terms of working and training conditions: in addition to employee development, Bodystreet's sustainability report also includes fair salaries, diversity and compliance with human rights at suppliers.
