In March, 55,000 trade visitors attended the leading international trade fair BEAUTY in Düsseldorf. 1,500 exhibitors provided information on the latest cosmetics trends and developments. The IST team team was also on site and can draw a positive balance.
Simon Kellerhoff from the "Wellness & Health" department looks back on the trade fair with satisfaction. "The organizers managed to make the 'Wellness' exhibition area a highlight of the trade fair thanks to its special atmosphere. The attraction for the public was correspondingly great," he explains. "We were able to welcome many interested parties to our stand, who were given detailed advice on training and further education opportunities. These discussions are always fruitful for both sides. Interested parties receive a comprehensive overview of career opportunities in the industry and corresponding recommendations on how to reach their goal. On the other hand, we get a lot of input directly from the market and can see whether we need to adapt our training products to the needs of market participants or even design completely new ones."
As part of BEAUTY, the SPA BUSINESS LOUNGE with many presentations and exciting discussions. IST lecturer Silvia Glückert, IST lecturer and SpaCamp initiator Wolfgang Falkner and IST graduate Angelika Baur-Schermbach were invited as experts.
In addition, the "Spam Manager of the Year" was once again chosen and IST graduate Bärbel Hessel was nominated. She is the successful spa manager at SpaWorld Fleesensee. Just being nominated in the top ten is a special honor. We congratulate her warmly.
Anyone who did not have the opportunity to gain an overview of suitable further training at the trade fair can find all the information they need in the "Wellness & Health" section".
The next BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF will take place from March 31 to April 2, 2017.
