Already celebrated as a Hip Hop star in Holland, German Andreas Maintz (Wickedminds) is World Judge at FISAF and since February this year Director for the Hip Hop Unite section at DFAV.
Just recently, the skilled baker and burly hip hoper made a splash on the TV show "Got to Dance" by reaching the semi-finals.

The new Sports Director Andreas "Wickedminds" Maintz for the Hip Hop Unite division of the DFAV e.V. started his Hip Hop career in November 1993 at the age of eleven. His repertoire in solo show dance at that time consisted of Hip Hop and Breakdance elements. Until 2001 he won six German championships, two European championships and many regional championships.
Career kick in Holland
From 1997 Andreas danced in Holland, especially in the Dance Centre Benito Deane (DCBD). Here he learned everything about the dance styles "bboying" and "Hype Dance/ Partydance". During this time he also founded his first breakdance dance group in Germany, the "PAC Crew", with which he performed at numerous shows and battles in the following two years. Andreas Maintz then became a full member of the DCBD in the Netherlands and competed alone but also with his group in various battles and jams.
In 2001 Maintz won the "Dutch National 1on1 Bboy competition SPIN OFF" and reached the finals of the Dutch Crew Champs "DBC" as well as the semi-finals at the "Battle of the Year Benelux" with his group "Crew Magic Rockaz".

"No Escape" takes off through
In the years 2002 to 2013 Andreas took part in many Battles in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, partly also hosted them himself or was present as a judge. These battles include: the International Breakdance Event (IBE), the Floor Wars Germany, International Bboy Games Germany, Unbreakable and many more.
Since 2002 Maintz also organized the Battle "Southern Madness", which is very popular in the scene.
Then in 2009 Maintz became a member of the group "No Escape". Together they performed and continue to perform in numerous competitions. Won "No Escape" already the championships.in Holland and Benelux.
International success in Vegas
2010 Andreas and his team competed for the first time at the HIP HOP INTERNATIONAL (HHI) in Las Vegas /USA. "No Escape" made it to the semi-finals with great support from the audience. The group competed again in 2011.
As a juror Maintz himself was present in Las Vegas in 2012, which was a great experience for him!
In 2013 Maintz qualified again for the World Champs in Las Vegas. He performed with his mega crew "No Escape XXL" as well as his crew "No Escape." His students from the group "No Chaos Allowed" were also represented.
"No Escape" left a lasting impression by reaching the semifinals once again. After being seventh in the first round, they ended up in eleventh place. Mega Crew "No Escape XXL" even reached the finals and ended up sixth. Andreas Schüler were also up front with fifth place.

The world of TV stars
Andreas Maintz not only dances himself, but is also international as well as national juror for the Hip Hop International and the Hip Hop Unite. Maintz has also appeared on TV shows in Germany and the Netherlands. With his "No Escape" crew he participated in the Dutch show "Holland got Talent" and reached the semi-finals in 2011 and 2012. The second place was taken by the mega crew "No Escape XXL" in the final. In the Dutch show "Everybody Dance Now" "Wickedminds" participated as a solo dancer and reached the final in 2013. In the same year, he also competed on German television on "Got to Dance".

Wickedminds & the pioneers
During all these years Andreas Maintz attended workshops and trainings with respected dancers and pioneers of the urban dance scene: e.g. with "Boogaloo Sam" (inventor of the popping dance style), with "Don Campbellock Campbel" (locking dance style) or with "Ana Lollipop Sanchez" (waacking dance style) and a workshop with "Bboy Machine" from the "Rock Force Crew" was also part of it. In addition, "Wickedminds" had the opportunity to work as a juror with these same dance pioneers.

DFAV e.V. presents Hip Hop at FIBO
DFAV e.V. will present its new discipline Hip Hop for the first time at FIBO 2015 during the DFAV-FIBO-Convention in Hall 5 - and on Saturday also on the FIBO main stage!
For four years now, the world federation FISAF has also been holding Hip Hop European and World Championships as part of the Aerobics and Fitness Championships.
Already celebrated as a Hip Hop star in Holland, German Andreas Maintz (Wickedminds) is World Judge at FISAF and since 01.02.2015 Vice President of DFAV for the Hip Hop Unite Germany section.
Training, competitions, qualifications and championship dates for hip hop are available at FIBO 2015 in DFAV Hall 5, Booth A06.
