The refurbishment process is a multi-step journey of the used equipment. Each company has developed its own refurbishment process, so when buying used equipment, it is important to check what steps are involved in the refurbishment of the equipment.
In order for the effect to meet our expectations, each piece of equipment should go through the following steps:
Technical condition assessment.
Immediately after unloading, the equipment is checked for functionality, completeness and appearance. It receives its own card on which each stage is described.
Disassembly and cleaning
Depending on the type, the equipment is taken to a special workshop (for power or cardio equipment), where an employee disassembles it into its basic elements. Plastic and metal parts are each: washed, sanded and painted. Electronic parts go to the electronics technician.

In the dismantled rotors the motors are checked - the condition of the windings. An employee puts in new bearings and checks the condition of the shaft. If it is worn, it means replacement with a new one. Bearing replacement is best done in a professional bearing replacement press to avoid possible damage to the seat or the bearing itself. Circuit boards, belts, cables, drive belts are also replaced, and worn parts are scheduled for disposal to protect the environment.
Inspection and replacement of electronic components
An electronics technician carefully inspects solder joints and contacts, overhauls parts or replaces them with new ones. Repairs are made with high quality electronic components using the best test and measurement equipment.
Assembly
Once completed and assembled, the unit receives new emblems and/or information stickers.
Quality control
It should also be multiple and cover not only the functionality of the product, but also the visual area. Details make the difference. Each type of equipment has different elements to test.
Re-cleaning and polishing
The refurbished equipment is cleaned with a steam cleaner with special chemistry. Finally, we polish the result to a high gloss, so that it pleases the eye of a satisfied customer.
Protection for transport
The last stage is loading, so you should pay attention to the maximum protection of the equipment and its most sensitive areas from possible damage.
After such a reconditioning process, it is difficult to tell the difference between new and used equipment.
