It doesn't always have to be mud and barbed wire - in future, the "Tough Mudder" brand will be offering its own boot camp studios and venturing into the fitness sector.

The Tough Mudder runs have long since become an event and a happening. Tickets are sold out after just a few days, and not just for the German events. Mud, barbed wire and physically demanding obstacle courses are en vogue. Tough Mudder has long since established itself as a brand in the minds of fitness enthusiasts around the world.

The company wants to benefit more from this in the future and is therefore currently taking a further step in the USA to further promote its own brand and create new value propositions. In June, the first "Tough Mudder Bootcamp" will open in Burlington (Massachusetts, near Boston) as a flagship. However, this is just the first step, as CEO Will Dean is planning further boot camps in Las Vegas, Houston and Orlando for 2018.

Among other things, the boot camps offer a 45-minute full-body workout that includes functional training teamwork and fun. The company shows what the workouts actually look like in its latest image videos. Tough Mudder fans will be delighted and the HIIT formats are also currently in vogue with other customers. The pre-sale price for 10 units is currently 85 US dollars. However, this will certainly not be the end of the story (given the high demand).

It remains to be seen whether the boot camps will establish themselves in the long term and whether Tough Mudder will venture across the pond to Germany. However, developments to date clearly show that competition is growing and that more and more established brands want their slice of the growing fitness market.

You can find all the information about the next Tough Mudder events in your area at Tough Mudder Germany.
