After a successful start to the spring at the IHRSA trade show in March, EGYM follows up impressively in April: FIBO 2023 becomes the most successful trade show appearance in the company's history. Both the novel trade show concept - a double stand with showroom and product world - and the training innovation Gameday are very well received by visitors in Cologne.
Visitors got a first impression of how present EGYM would be at FIBO as soon as they entered the exhibition grounds: Immediately behind the North Entrance, the familiar faces of EGYM models beamed from an XXL banner at the passing crowds.
All those who had arrived without one of the coveted EGYM appointments had another opportunity here to sign up for a meeting at the double stand. For more than 800 trade visitors, meanwhile, the visit to EGYM was an absolute must, for which they had registered well in advance - no wonder that the EGYM stand was almost fully booked even before FIBO started.
The anticipation at EGYM and (potential) customers was high - and nobody was disappointed. And not only because top-class EGYM Ambassodors such as former top athletes Mimi Kraus (handball) and Matthias Glarner (wrestling) as well as actors Mark Keller and Ralf Moeller (on the picture with EGYM founder Philipp Roesch-Schlanderer) ensured a good atmosphere at the two-story 800-quadre stand.
The novel trade show concept also worked perfectly. In the showroom, each registered guest was first introduced to a concept solution tailored to their business interests (Smart Scaling, Smart Coaching, Smart Therapy). Afterwards, visitors were able to immerse themselves in the EGYM product world. Following the presentation, many trade visitors were so convinced that the cooperation was sealed on the spot. Never before has EGYM succeeded in signing so many contracts as at FIBO 2023.
There were several reasons for the resounding success: our intuitive strength equipment, which was occupied almost continuously; our flexible ecosystem, which interfaces with many other exhibitors around the EGYM booth (e.g. Matrix, InBody, Life Fitness); and of course our training innovation Gameday, which turned our booth into an arena and drove everyone from businessmen to bodybuilders to peak athletic performance - including EGYM Ambassador Mimi Kraus (photo).
So both came together - a brilliant balance and a brilliant mood among the 150 or so EGYMees who were on duty around the trade fair. Chief Customer Officer Christoph Bischoff sums up FIBO from his point of view:
"Our partners and competitors certainly didn't miss the fact that we had a great stand. But there was one thing they noticed in particular - the special team spirit that makes EGYM strong."
EGYM partners also knew how to inspire: Life Fitness showcased its SE4 console, which provides access to personalized training experiences and a host of on-demand content; body analysis specialist InBody impressed with its novel phase angle feature, which allows conclusions to be drawn about cellular health. And cardio giant Matrix still had slight size advantages with its gigantic 900-square-meter booth, even over trade show neighbor EGYM.
(Not only) strength athletes know that size isn't the only thing that matters. But EGYM is of course pleased about the current growth course, which was impressively confirmed by FIBO - and expresses its sincere thanks to customers and employees.
