According to this survey, Germany is in first place with a turnover of 4.6 billion euros, according to statistics from Deloitte and Europe-Active, closely followed by the UK and France. Italy and Spain remain in next place with sales of less than 2 billion euros. Fitness was also the main factor behind Reebok's 23% increase in sales last year (i.e. 469 million euros).
In terms of the number of studios, Germany is also in first place with over 9,000 studios, although Italy is in second place ahead of the UK, followed by Spain, France and Russia. Over 60 million members brought Europe a 4% increase in sales in the previous year. The highest membership fees in Europe were generated in Switzerland.
