The first product, called Advagym, enables the step from the analog to the digital and networked gym. Advagym is distributed in cooperation with Globe-IQ and offers trainers and exercisers various functions to optimize their workouts.
Globe-IQ has become known in the fitness industry for refurbishing used cardio equipment and reselling it to gyms in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Now Globe-IQ is cooperating with Sony to quickly and easily digitize fitness equipment.
Advagym is a complete system with hardware, back-end, cloud storage and apps for iOS and Android designed to drive digitization in gyms. The great thing is that existing equipment, regardless of brand, is compatible with Advagym.
Higher customer motivation through digital solution
The Advagym hardware consists of pucks or ID touchpoints. These are small sensors that are attached to fitness equipment. When a user touches the puck with his smartphone, he activates them and is logged in. The connection is made via Android or IOS using RID or Bluetooth. The so-called zone pucks can even be attached to weight benches. With the app, members can track their workouts and monitor performance progress. Once activated, exercisers can choose from a list of different exercises and even create their own.
At the heart of the system is the main unit, which is attached to the weight stack. This allows it to measure the number of repetitions and training sets, as well as the speed and range of motion. In this way, the specified training curve can be maintained and the exerciser always trains in the optimal range.
Through the included Advagym app, exercisers and their trainers have the ability to automatically monitor their exercises and progress in real time. Trainers can create their own programs in the app with their favorite exercises and workouts or choose from pre-made programs.
At the end of a workout, users receive a workout log with all relevant statistics. The app also specifies the number of sets and repetitions and gives advice regarding the necessary recovery periods.

The Advagym system offers gym operators another major advantage. They get a comprehensive overview of equipment usage statistics and system status from all networked equipment, as well as users' training patterns. They can also view and manage all available programs and exercises.
